Pasalnya seorang perempuan tiba tiba mendapat sms dari temannya yang telah meninggal selama 6 tahun lalu. Isi dari SMS itupun membuat terhenyak sang perempuan. Silahkan disimak baik baik.
Hanya saja ada sebuah SMS yang mengejutkan dan menggoncangkan kesedihan, dan perasaanku. SMS itu sempat membuat pikiranku bimbang, yang kemudian membuat kedua mataku menangis. SMS itu berasal dari teman lama. Dia termasuk sebaik-baik teman yang aku bangga mengenalnya. Namun permasalahannya, temanku ini telah wafat enam tahun lalu karena sebuah kecelakaan mobil.
Aku terus menyimpan nomor HP-nya di HP-ku. Setiap kali aku putuskan untuk menghapus nomornya, jiwaku tidak terima. Maka akupun membiarkan nomor tersebut sebagai sebab do’aku untuknya agar diberi rahmat Allah Ta’ala setiap kali aku melihat namanya.
Tiba-tiba, pada suatu malam di bulan Ramadhan tahun ini -enam tahun sesudah wafatnya- sebuah SMS datang dari nomor yang sama miliknya. Begitu melihat nomor tersebut aku langsung terperanjat, campur perasaan aneh dan “takut”… serta perasaan-perasaan yang aku tidak bisa menjelaskannya untuk para pembaca yang budiman, hingga membuatku ragu untuk membukanya. Akan tetapi, karena penasaran maka pada akhirnya aku membuka dan mulai membaca SMS tersebut.
Di dalam SMS tersebut kudapati ucapan:
“Paman Mamduh yang mulia, saya Ahmad, putra saudara paman ‘Athiyah, saya menyimpan HP ayah hingga saya besar. Saya ucapkan selamat dan do’a keberkahan bagi setiap teman-teman ayah. Mudah-mudahan paman senantiasa dalam kebaikan sepanjang tahun. Bulan keberkahan atas kita dan atas paman, mudah-mudahan paman berada dalam kebaikan sepanjang tahun.”
Sungguh, kedua matakupun berlinangan air mata karena bocah kecil ini, ayahnya telah meninggal saat dia berusia 4 tahun, dan sekarang dia telah berusia 10 tahun. Bocah kecil ini telah mengajariku bagaimana seharusnya menyambung hubungan? Bagaimana cara berbuat baik? Dan bagaimana melanggengkan rasa cinta?
Bocah kecil ini membuat aku mengingat teman-teman pamanku yang telah merawatku. Akupun bergegas untuk pergi menjenguk mereka yang tersisa satu persatu, termasuk bocah kecil tersebut.
Temanku tersebut telah menikah dengan seorang wanita shalihah, yang kemudian melahirkan bocah laki-laki tersebut. Kemudian wanita tersebut mendidiknya dengan baik, menyimpan HP suami dan nomor teman-temannya hingga putranya besar, dan berkata kepada puteranya: “Sambunglah teman-teman ayahmu.”
Betapa mulianya istri tersebut, dan betapa baiknya anak tersebut. Aku memohon kepada Allah agar memberinya taufik, menjaga agama dan dunianya, mudah-mudahan Allah Ta’ala mengampuni kita semua dan orang-orang yang telah meninggal mendahului kita.
Dikisahkan bahwa seorang dari bani Salimah datang kepada Nabi lalu berkata: Wahai Rasulullah, apakah masih tersisa perbuatan birrul walidain yang harus saya lakukan setelah kedua orang tuaku meninggal dunia? Nabi bersabda:
نَعَمْ الصَّلاَةُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَالاِسْتِغْفَارُ لَهُمَا وَإِيفَاءٌ بِعُهُودِهِمَا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهِمَا وَإِكْرَامُ صَدِيقِهِمَا وَصِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ الَّتِى لاَ تُوصَلُ إِلاَّ بِهِمَا
“Benar: berdoa kepada keduanya, memohonkan ampun untuk keduanya, menjalankan wasiat-wasiatnya sepeninggalnya, dan memuliakan sahabat keduanya dan menyambung kerabat yang tidak disambung kecuali dengan keduanya.”
